International Business School in Grenoble, France

Program Dates:  May 20, 2010 - June 12, 2010 or July 2, 2010 - July 20, 2010

Program Cost:

  • Undergraduates: $4,950* (International Business track) or $5,250* (European track)
  • Graduates: $5,400*

Registration Deadline: March 1, 2010 (Applications will be accepted after this date if there are available spots).

Eligibility and Space Available: The program is open to undergraduate business students and graduate students from the University of Memphis or any accredited public or private university.

Program Description: This program gives students an opportunity to enhance his/her business education, experience French culture and socialize with people from around the world in Grenoble, France.

Housing and Board: Participants will stay in double occupancy rooms which are located between 5-15 minutes walking distance from the school. Breakfast will be provided everyday.

Travel Arrangements: A french student visa is required for all US passport holders. if you are not a US citizen, please contact the study abroad office for information on how to apply for a visa. The study abroad office will assist students with all travel arrangements. Students will need a valid US passport. If you do not have a passport, apply as soon as possible. The passport application can be downloaded at http://travel.state.gov

Courses: Participants are required to choose one the three tracks listed below. Students will enroll in survival French in addition to the courses chosen.

Program Fees and Refund Policy:
The program fee ranges depending on the track you decide to take and your classification. The program fee includes tuition, accommodations and some meals, French cooking classes, student ID card and application fee.The program fees do not include international travel, tuition, visa fees, medical insurance or personal expenses. A non-refundable deposit of $350 is due by March 1, 2010 to secure your place. Please submit you payment to the Study Abroad Office located at 102 Brister Hall. If you are a U of M student, you can pay the deposit online here.

The $350 application fee is non-refundable. Grenoble Business School will charge a $250 penalty for any cancellation after an application has been submitted. Withdrawals up to 45 days prior to the program will incur a charge of $500. Withdrawals up to 20 days before the program will incur a charge of 50% of the program fees. All other withdrawals within 20 days or less will incur a charge of 75% of the program fees. In addition to these fees any unrecoverable expenses will be billed to the student. Cancellations should be in writing and are only effective upon date of receipt of written notification. Should the University decide to cancel the program, there will be a full refund of all fees paid.

Scholarships: Scholarships for University of Memphis students are available through the Study Abroad Office, 102 Brister Hall phone: 678-4271. Applications may be obtained at that office or accessed online here.
