The University of Memphis study abroad programs are designed to provide students with
the opportunity to combine a rigorous academic program with a cross-cultural learning
experience that is not available in the United States.
- We offer more than 200 semester, academic year and summer programs in over 50 countries
to meet the diverse needs of the U of M student population.

Important Dates

Mandatory pre-departure orientation for all summer, fall, and academic year study
abroad students will be held Friday, April 19th at 1pm in the University Ballroom
(3rd floor).

- Congratulations to Lydia Loden who has been accepted into the Royal Holloway, University
of London's MA Program in Public History! Lydia is currently a Senior at the U of M who is majoring in history. It is Lydia's
goal to work in the media concerning historical programming. Lydia, who studied abroad
at Liverpool Hope University in England during the Spring of 2012, says her "study
abroad experience gave her the confidence to know that she could thrive in a different
environment, socially and academically, and propelled her to apply for the program
of choice in London."
- A student's account of their experience on the Spring Break Audiology Program to the
Dominican Republic.
- Congratulations to Mai Orsino, Dania Helou, and Loi Ta for winning the Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship for Study Abroad! The Gilman Scholarship provides awards for US undergraduate students who are receiving
federal Pell Grant funding to participate in study abroad programs worldwide. Selected
by competition, recipients are awarded up to $5,000 to defray the costs associated
with studying abroad. Their achievement is highlighted on the U of M Newsroom page.
