Palazzi is a group of private institutions for higher learning with a mission to integrate students to the city's civic and social life through a dynamic, challenging approach to academic studies that promote a beneficial exchange between its students and the city.

The Palazzi campuses are located in the heart of historic Florence and allow students to take courses in a variety of different areas of study. The campuses that U of M students can take courses during this trip include: Florence University of the Arts, FAST: School of Fashion and Accessory Studies and Technology, DIVA: School of Digital Imaging and Visual Arts, and Apicius International School of Hospitality. Please see the downloadable course list above for a schedule of courses for this summer session.

Student Services: Program participants will have the support of Palazzi's Student Services department for counseling, advising, emergency issues, and all matters pertaining to student life in Florence. Furthermore, the department organizes and coordinates extracurricular activities on every night of the week such as sports nights, music activities, journalism, connecting cultures and city walks to discover aristans' laboratories and specialty products.

Field Trips: The Academic Field Trips department at Apicius offers an exciting array of trips throughout the program sessions. They are open to all enrolled students and include both Italian and European destinations such as London, Vienna, Sicily, Rome and the Amalfi Coast.
