Photo Contest -Study Abroad Student Competition Photos on Display - 30 beautiful cross-cultural shots from our past study abroad students will be display in the rotunda of McWherter Library all week. Go take a look!

Photo Contest Lecture & Awards: Please also join as at McWherter Library on  November 18, 2009 from 11:30 AM-1:00 PM for a lecture and awards ceremony. Dr. Jim Blythe, a professor and graduate coordinator in the U of M’s Department of History, will speak on how to capture a cross-cultural experience in a photo. Winners will be announced prior to the lecture.

Boren Scholarship campus deadline is January 22, 2010. Meet with an advisor before the campus deadline date if you have not done so already.


DAAD Undergraduate Scholarship deadline is January 30, 2010. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) invites highly qualified undergraduate students to apply for scholarships funding study, senior thesis research and/or internships in Germany.  Scholarships are available either as part of an organized study abroad program or as part of an individual, student-designed study abroad semester or year.  Funding is offered for the academic year 2010 - 2011 (starting in fall 2010) and includes a monthly stipend, health insurance and a lump sum for travel.
