Program Dates: May 31, 2010 - June 25, 2010
Program Costs: $2,083* for undergraduates and $2,842* for graduate students. Housing will be paid
upon arrival in Stasbourg and will be either 300* euros or 400* euros/person.

Application Process: In addition to completing the University of Memphis Study Abroad Application, applicants
should also complete the Strasbourg application and bring 3 passport-size photos when turning in an application to the Study Abroad
Office.
Program Description: The University of Memphis in conjunction with the Robert Schuman University's School
of Management in Strasbourg, France is offering the 2010 International Summer School
program in the capital of Europe!
Eligibility and Space Available: Undergraduate or graduate students. Graduate students will be required to submit
a term paper in addition to the coursework.
Courses: The program is open to undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Memphis
or from an accredited public or private university. All lectures will be held in English.
Students will receive six graduate or undergraduate credits from Robert Schuman University
which can be transferred to the University of Memphis. French Language (Beginner's and Intermediate level) European Integration Business in Europe
Field Trips: A variety of company visits will be organized once a week. Partner companies for these
one-day corporate immersion visits include: Smart France - Hambach, France Mercedes Corporate Headquarters & Museum - Stuttgart, Germany Mars Chocolat - Haguenau, France Steelcase Worklab - Schiltigheim, France The Kronenbourg Brewery - Strasbourg, France Weberhaus - Rheinau-Linx, Germany ADI (Alsace Development International) - Strasbourg, France Wine and Production Industry - Alsace, France
In addition to the company visits, participants will visit the following European
Institutions: The European Parliament - Strasbourg, France The Council of Europe - Strasbourg, France The European Court of Human Rights - Strasbourg, France The European central Bank or the Deutsche Bank - Frankfurt, Germany
Accommodation: The program fee does not include housing. The estimated cost of housing for the one
month stay will be $500-$600. The host institution will assist students in making
reservations at the Estudines Resid' Homes in downtown Strasbourg or at La Marne which
is located close to the school.
Program Fees and Refund Policy: The program fee is $2,250**. The program fee includes tuition, some meals, some field
trips, student ID card and application fee.The program fees do not include international
travel, accommodations, visa fees, medical insurance or personal expenses. A non-refundable
deposit of $350 is due by March 1, 2010 to secure your place. Please submit you payment
to the Study Abroad Office located at 102 Brister Hall. If you are a U of M student,
you can pay the deposit online here.
Fees with the exception of the deposit will be refunded in full if notification is
received 90 days before the program start date. Withdrawals up to 45 days prior to
the program will incur a charge of $500. Withdrawals up to 20 days before the program
will incur a charge of 50% of the program fees. All other withdrawals within 20 days
or less will incur a charge of 75% of the program fees. In addition to these fees
any unrecoverable expenses will be billed to the student. Cancellations should be
in writing and are only effective upon date of receipt of written notification. Should
the University decide to cancel the program, there will be a full refund of all fees
paid.
Scholarships: Scholarships for University of Memphis students are available through the Study Abroad
