1. Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental principles, concepts and knowledge of the discipline Geography. Exams, Senior Exit Survey, Alumni Survey Taken at senior year, capstone course ESCI 4801. Alumni survey sent to alumnus two years after graduation
2. Have knowledge of the effects of natural processes and human activity on the environment. Exams
3. Be able to address, solve and communicate geographic problems using quantitative methods and geographic techniques. Exams, Lab Exercises, Projects
4. Be able to critically examine community problems and develop coherent solutions to urban and other land management issues. Exams
5. Demonstrate effective written, oral and visual communication skills. Senior Thesis, Project/Poster Presentations 

M.A. Geography
