Sharon Guffin has been in the Academic Counseling Center for almost fifteen years.  Prior to coming to the University of Memphis, she spent seven years in a Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Center, working with the severely mentally ill.

Sharon graduated from Memphis State in 1986 with a BSED degree in Music Education.  Two years later, she graduated with her Master's Degree in Counseling and Personnel Services. 

During her time at the University of Memphis, she has enjoyed serving as a liaison to some of the colleges and serving on different committees throughout the University community.  However, her favorite part of all of her work is interacting with the students.
