Purpose: To undertake a holistic examination of the adjunct faculty experience at The University of Memphis where areas examined will include teaching and learning experience, classroom policies & procedures, adjunct faculty professional development opportunities and provide valuable resources in these areas that impact adjunct faculty.

Mission: To provide a place for support, resources, and professional development opportunities fostering excellence in teaching and learning and a sense of community for adjunct faculty to feel a part of the larger University of Memphis community.

The Adjunct Faculty Professional Development Program (AFPDP) will provide various face to face and online workshops, networking opportunities, training sessions, mentor/mentee opportunities, grant research opportunities, professional certificate opportunities, and more. The University of Memphis’s adjunct faculty is a diverse pool of highly qualified individuals who have valuable academic and professional experience, and, who enhance the university’s cultural and intellectual wealth.
