Faculty Development Sessions



Web 2.0 Special Interest Group (SIG)
Sponsored by the Advanced Instructional Media (AIM) Lab and the Advanced Learning Center

Facilitated by Dr. Clif Mims, Assistant Professor, Instructional Design & Technology (IDT) and the Advanced Instructional Media Lab in IDT

Interested in learning more about how to use Web 2.0 tools, like wikis, blogs, & social bookmarking in your teaching, then the Web 2.0 Special Interest Group is for you.

No reservations are required. All events will be held in the ALC Learning Lab, FIT, 226. Bring your own lunch, the ALC will provide drinks and dessert.

Wednesday, October 14th, 11:30 - 1:00 - Topic: Digital Presentations and Student Use (including Glogster, Prezi & Animoto)

Tuesday, November 3rd, 11:30 -1:00 - Topic: Part 2 - Digital Presentations and Student Use (including Glogster, Prezi & Animoto). There was overwhelming interest to continue this discussion.

Wednesday, November 18th, 11:30 - 1:00 - Topic:Teaching and Learning with online collaboration tools (including Vyew, DimDim, Ustream and Skype).

Monday, December 7th, 11:30 - 1:00 - Topic: Using the iPod Touch and applications (including Evernote, AudioBoo, PollEverywhere, etc.) in teaching and learning
