Outstanding Alumni Awards The College of Arts and Sciences Alumni Board hosted its annual Outstanding Alumni
Awards Dinner in mid-October to honor the 2011 award recipients: Dr. Diane Allen (BA '73), Provost, Salisbury University, Kirk Caraway (BA '94, JD '97), Partner, Allen, Summers, Lillie & Gresham, PLLC, Stacey Greenberg (MA '99), Community Relations, MLG&W, Founder, Memphis Rock & Romp, Darlene Winters (BA '76, MA '79), Founder/Choreographer, Company d Dancers and Friends of the College Carole and Emile Bizot (BA '60). Proceeds from the dinner support the Arts and Sciences Alumni Chapter Book Scholarship,
which is awarded each year to two outstanding junior or senior students. Please consider
making a donation to the Fund in honor of one of our current or past Outstanding Alumni
of Friends.
Chemistry Reception The College of Arts & Sciences Alumni Chapter joined Chemistry alumni, faculty and
students for a reception to celebrate the opening of the Chemistry Community Learning
Center, as well as the recent achievements of Chemistry faculty and students in early
April.
2010 Holiday Reception The College of Arts & Sciences Alumni Chapter hosted the 2010 Holiday Reception on Friday, December 10 at 6:30 pm at the home of Chapter Board member Marcia Boyd.
College of Arts & Sciences Reception The College of Arts & Sciences Alumni Chapter hosted a reception at the Alumni Center

Outstanding Alumni Awards Dinner The College of Arts & Sciences Alumni Chapter hosed its annual Outstanding Alumni Awards dinner on Thursday, October 14 in the University Center. This year’s recipients of the Outstanding Alumni Awards
were Leigh Baim Mansberg (B.A. ‘91, M.A.T. ’92), English Department Chair and Katherine Neely Chair of Excellence
at St. Mary’s Episcopal School, Robert R. Milner (B.S. ’67), Owner-Partner/Broker, Colliers Wilkinson & Snowden, Dr. Larry Robinson (B.S. ’79), Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Oceans and Atmosphere at the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Edward L. Stanton, III (B.A. ’94, J.D. ’97),U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee. The outstanding

In 2009, the Chapter honored James Morse (BS ’90, MS ’93), Manager of EH&S and Laboratory,
Ciba Corporation; Keith Prewitt (BA ’81), Deputy Director, United States Secret Service;
Thomas Appleton (BA ’71), Professor, Eastern Kentucky University; and Meah King (BA
’02 MAT ‘05), English Teacher, East High School. Outstanding Friend of the College
this year was Maurice Elliott, Chief Executive Officer Emeritus, Methodist Le Bonheur
