FCBE Alumni Day
The Fogelman College of Business & Economics Alumni Chapter hosted its Annual Alumni
Day Luncheon in early November. The program featured Michael Heisley, owner of Memphis Grizzlies. The Outstanding Alumni Awards were presented to S. Morgan Morton (BBA ’63), retired SVP of Pfizer, and Emily Greer (MBA ’06), Chief of Staff at ALSAC. The Distinguished Friends of the College Awards
were presented to Avron Fogelman, Chairman of Fogelman Properties, and Douglas Browne, GM/Vice President of the Peabody Hotel.
Annual Golf Tournament
The Fogelman College of Business & Economics Alumni Chapter hosted their 2011 Golf
Tournament in late-June at Spring Creek Ranch Golf Course in Collierville. Proceeds
from the tournament benefit the FCBE Alumni Chapter’s Building Renovation Fund. Thank

i2i Union and Reunion: International MBA Alumni Club Networking Event
The IMBA Alumni Club joined alumni and current students in late April to discuss new
directions for the International MBA program at the University of Memphis. Attendees
enjoyed live music provided by current IMBA students followed by speakers Dean Rajiv

Alumni Day
The FCBE Alumni Chapter hosted its annual Alumni Day Luncheon on Wednesday, November 3 at the Holiday Inn, University of Memphis. The Chapter recognizde Outstanding Alumnus
George Johnson (BBA ’70) President of BJB Administrative Services LLC, Outstanding Young Alumnus Andrew Bailey (BBA ’00, EMBA ’05) Marketing Specialist Advisor, FedEx, Entrepreneur of the Year J. Austin Baker (BBA ’04) President, EServ, LLC, and Distinguished Friend of the College Harry Smith, Chairman and CEO, Schilling Enterprises. Keynote Speaker will be Anita Vaughn (BA ’77, MPA ’82), ECO, Baptist Women’s Hospital. Click here to view pictures from the event.
The keynote speaker in 2009 was B. Lane Carrick (BS '03), Chairman and CEO of Sovereign
Wealth Management and Chairman of Triumph Bank. Outstanding Alumnus of the Year was
Ben Watkins (BBA '78), Member of Watkins Uiberall, PLLC. Outstanding Young Alumna
was Chris Chu (BBA '00), Co-Founder/Strategic Sales of EVS Corporation. Entrepreneur
of the Year was Gary Wunderlich (MBA '95), Chief Executive Officer of Wunderlich Securities.
Distinguished Friend of the College was Joseph DeVivo, East President, Orthopaedics

Golf Tournament
The Fogelman College of Business & Economics Alumni Chapter hosted their 2010 Golf
Tournament in mid-April and the 2009 Golf Tournament in late June, both at Galloway.
Proceeds from both tournaments benefited the FCBE Alumni Chapter’s Building Renovation

MILE Program
The FCBE and the FCBE Alumni Chapter enjoyed a reception and short information presentation
in May, learning about the MILE Business Leadership Mentoring Program, hosted at Owen Brennan's. The MILE Program is looking for more mentors for the
