Nursing Legacy Luncheon
The Nursing Alumni Chapter gathered to honor the Class of 1969, our first class of nursing graduates, at the Legacy Luncheon in September. Honorees included Dr. Bettye Harris Alston (ASN '69), Betty Kinchen Anderson (ASN '69, BSN '85), Charlotte Gibson Beaird (ASN '69), Ernestine Rucker Chism (ASN '69, BSN '85), Clara Goodall Evans (ASN '69), and Betty Rixter (ASN '69). Alumni Reunion Reception
In conjunction with the Centennial Reunion Weekend, the Loewenberg School of Nursing hosted an Alumni Reunion Reception.

Halloween Bash
Members dressed in their scariest Halloween costumes and joined the Nursing Alumni Chapter for a Halloween Bash at Earnestine & Hazel's featuring music by "Dova Grove" in late October. Click here to view photos from the night.

Wine and Cheese Party
The Nursing Alumni Chapter met to honor Florence Nightingale's Birthday with a wine tasting in May.

Career Fair
The Loewenberg School of Nursing Alumni Chapter hosted its Spring Nursing Career Fair in late April in the University Center.  Graduating seniors showcased their final projects with representatives from local healthcare facilities in attendance as recruiters and judges. To see photos from past Career Fairs, visit our Photo Gallery.

Outstanding Alumni Awards
The Loewenberg School of Nursing Alumni Chapter honored Dr. Paula Dycus (BSN ’97), Administrative Director of Professional Practice and Research, Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, Inc. and Dr. Paula Spears (BSN ’81), Executive Director, The Nursing Institute of the Mid South, at their 2010 Outstanding Nursing Awards luncheon in late April in the University Center. In 2009, Jan Young (BSN '83) and Mary Hammons (BSN '80, MSN '06) were honored. Outstanding alumni in 2008 were Sam Maceri (DNSc., A.A. '76, M.P.A. '90, B.S. '99) and Betty Sue McGarvey (DNSc., B.S. '85). To view photos of past events, click here.
