Alumni Association's Family and Friends Homecoming Parade
The Alumni Association and Student Activities Council hosted their annual Parade on Friday evening at 5:30. Special guests included University President Shirley Raines and Athletic Director R.C. Johnson. Parade route was on the U of M campus and viewers enjoyed candy and treats given away by parade participants.
Homecoming Pep Rally
The Pep Rally immediately followed the Parade on Friday evening with special guest Coach Tommy West as well as the Alumni Association's True Blue Tradition Award and the Parent of the Year Award. Located at the end of the Parade route at the Plaza Fountain near the Administration Building, fans and friends enjoyed complimentary hot dogs, chips and cookies provided by Huey's.
Homecoming Football Game
Memphis defeated Southern Miss on Saturday night at the Liberty Bowl Stadium. Fans enjoyed presentations by National Alumni Association President Martin Zummach to Ceci and Bill Walker for the Parents of the Year Award and Physical Plant's Jim Hellums, Calvin Strong, and Pam Cash for the True Blue Tradition Award. Go Tigers!

1958 Class Reunion
The Alumni Association celebrated the 50th Reunion for the Class of 1958 on Friday, October 24. Members of the class of 1958 were invited to a brunch at the home of University of Memphis President, Dr. Shirley C. Raines.
Half Century Club Reception
A Golden Reception, hosted by the Half Century Club, was hosted for the Classes of 1958 and all previous graduation years at the Alumni Center on the evening of Friday, October 24. Grads enjoyed complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres while mingling with former classmates.
Luther C. McClellan Alumni Chapter Step Show
The Luther C. McClellan Chapter of the Alumni Association hosted its annual Ol' School Step Show on Friday, October 24, immediately after the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally. Members of the PHC fraternities and sororities returned to the Pep Rally site on the main campus to showcase their stepping skills once again.
Frosh Camp Reunion
The Alumni Association hosted a Frosh Camp Counselor Reunion on Friday, October 24 in the Alumni Center on the University of Memphis campus. This event, part of Homecoming Weekend, celebrated 15 years of Frosh Camp with "Moms" and "Dads" returning to see old friends and fun pictures!
Sigma Chi Fraternity Barbeque
The brothers of Sigma Chi hosted their annual Homecoming pre-game barbeque for all Epsilon Kappa alumni on Saturday before the Tigers took the field.
Phi Beta Sigma Alumni Tailgate
Members of the Delta Nu chapter of Phi Beta Sigma enjoyed a reunion tailgate at Tobey Field before the Tigers played Southern Miss.
Band Alumni Chapter
The Band Alumni Chapter once again hosted retuning Band Alumni for special performances throughout the game.
