Alumni Association's Homecoming Parade
Friday, September 23 at 5:30 pm
Join the Alumni Association for the annual Homecoming Parade on Friday, September 23, 5:30 pm, hosted by the Alumni Association and Student Activities Council. Special guest includes President Shirley Raines. Click here for the Parade route. Parking is available at the Southern Ave. and Central Ave. parking lots.

Alumni Association's Homecoming Pep Rally
Friday, September 23 at 6:30 pm
Continue the Homecoming celebration at the Association's Pep Rally on Friday, September 23, 6:30 pm, with special guest Coach Larry Porter (BSEd '96) as well as the Alumni Association's True Blue Tradition Award (awarded annually to those who have made significant contributions to creating and continuing traditions at the U of M) and the Parent of the Year Award (presented to parents of current students through a nomination process). Located at the end of the parade route at the Plaza Fountain near the Administration Building. Food provided from the Thomas Boggs (BA '72) Family of Huey's Restaurants and drinks provided by Pepsi. Parking is available at the Southern Ave. and Central Ave. parking lots.

2011 Parent of the Year
The University of Memphis Alumni Association Parents Club invites students to nominate parents or guardians whose lives have been an inspiration to their student and others as the 2011 Parent of the Year. CLICK HERE to download a nomination form. All parents who are nominated by their students will receive a congratulatory letter and a copy of the essay submission. Winners must be able to participate in the Homecoming Parade and Pep Rally on Friday, September, 23, 2011 at 5:30 pm and recognition during the Homecoming game on Saturday, September 24, 2011 (kick off is 11:00 am at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium). Game tickets will be provided. Applications are due by 4:00 pm on Monday, September 12. Nominators will be notified by Thursday, September 15 if their nominee was selected as a winner.

Class of 1961 Reunion activities
Friday, September 23, 9:30 am
The Alumni Association will honor the Class of 1961 on Friday, September 23 with a variety of activities throughout the day. Class of 1961 members are invited to a Meet and Greet at the Alumni Center, Brunch at the home of U of M President Shirley Raines, followed by a guided campus tour and a Golden Reception at the Alumni Center. Half Century Club Reception

The Half Century Club and Alumni Association will host the Golden Reception for graduates of the class of 1961 and all previous years on Friday, September 23 in the Alumni Center. All graduates and class friends

Luther C. McClellan Black Alumni Chapter Homecoming Step Show
Friday, September 23, immediately following the Pep Rally
The Luther C. McClellan Black Alumni Chapter will join in the Homecoming 2011 fun with their annual Alumni Step Show showcasing stepping skills of current students and returning alumni on Friday, September 23 in the Rose Theatre. The cost is $10 for Alumni Association members and students (with Membership Card or Student ID) and $15 for not-yet-members. Proceeds benefit the LCM Scholarship Fund.

Luther C. McClellan Black Alumni Chapter Homecoming Party

Join the Luther C. McClellan Black Alumni Chapter for a Homecoming Party. Tickets may be purchased at the door. The cost is $10 for Alumni Association members, $15 for the not-yet-members, and $20 for everyone after midnight. Proceeds benefit the LCM Scholarship Fund.

Band Alumni Chapter

Alumni Night: Free admission for all Tiger Alumni. Volleyball alumni are invited to a meet and greet at 6 pm in the lounge of the Fieldhouse for dinner and a tour of the new locker room space. Former players will be recognized at intermission and will have a post-game photo session with current team members.
