Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law 50th Anniversary Celebration presented by

One North Front Street, Downtown Memphis Saturday, October 27, 2012
The Law Alumni Chapter is committed to promoting and sustaining the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. The
Chapter currently funds several scholarships and a teaching award. Members of the
Chapter give back to the School throughout the year by hosting CLEs, providing mentoring
and networking opportunities to current students, faculty, and alumni. With funds
raised during this historic Celebration, the Law Alumni Chapter will be able to increase
its support for the students and faculty of our Law School through additional scholarships,
awards and professorships.

VIP Doors open at 5:30 p.m. // General Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
6-7 pm - VIP Reception: VIP Guests enjoy a one-hour pre-event reception in a special tented section overlooking
the Mississippi River. Premium cocktails and hors d'oeuvres will be served, and guests
will be treated to a special concert by singer, songwriter Caroline Jones (http://carolinejones.com/).
7-10 pm - Music from the Decades:
- 7-10 pm - Rat Pack Crooners - Gordon Ball Reading Room (4th Floor)

Participating Restaurants & Caterers
In keeping with the University of Memphis’ efforts to "Go Green", the 50th Anniversary
Celebration was pleased to feature restaurants which are Project Green Fork certified. Project Green Fork was founded in 2008 specifically because of those
statistics. Project Green Fork contributes to a sustainable Mid-South by helping reduce
environmental impacts, with a focus on strengthening homegrown restaurants.

Where is the funding for this event coming from? There are no University or state funds being used to finance this event. All funds
have been raised by the Planning Committee.
