Education Alumni Chapter The College of Education, Health and Human Sciences is celebrating 100 years of educating
teachers. To commemorate this occasion, the Education Alumni Chapter will honor exceptional
faculty and alumni from throughout our 100 year history on Tuesday, April 17, at 6 pm in the Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway Hall of Fame. The proceeds will help to
establish the Alumni Chapter’s Centennial Scholarship. The cost is $35 for Alumni

MPA Alumni Club On Tuesday, April 17, at 11:30 am in the University Center, the MPA Alumni Club will host a luncheon recognizing
the 2012 Pi Alpha Alpha inductees and honor students in the Division of Public and Nonprofit Administration. Shelby County Mayor Mark

UMAR Join UMAR for a Centennial Reunion honoring retired Faculty and Staff on Thursday, April 19, at 5:30 pm in the University Center. Celebrate and reminisce with your colleagues
and friends at a special reception and dinner in the University Center Ballroom. All
retirees and current U of M employees of long-standing are welcome to attend. The

On Tuesday, May 1, at 9 am, the UMAR Breakfast Bunch will gather at the Perkins Restaurant & Bakery located in the Eastgate Shopping Center,
at 5112 Park Avenue. This group meets for a casual breakfast on the first Tuesday
of every month at 9 am. All UMAR members and U of M retirees are welcome. The cost

UMAR will host its annual Spring Picnic on Sunday, May 20, at the St. Columba Episcopal Conference & Retreat Center's Gates Pavilion, located

On Tuesday, May 22, at 11 am, the UMAR Book Club will meet at Brother Juniper’s for breakfast before discussing the month’s selection,
Roger Williams and the Creation of the American Soul: Church, State and the Birth
of Liberty by John Barry. The Book Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every other month. The

The Law Alumni Chapter will co-host the Law Week Launch Party, a gathering of local legal organizations, on Friday, April 27, from 5 to 7 pm in Court Square. This free event will feature food by the BBQ Shop
and music by WALRUS. Members of the legal community are invited to attend, and are
asked to bring a canned good or monetary donation to support the Mid-South Food Bank.

The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Chapter will participate in the Kenneth M. Cox Ceremony & Black Law Alumni Reception, at Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Wade Auditorium on Friday, May 11, at 6:30 pm. The Chapter will be honoring law graduates with the traditional donning

Faculty Convocation and Presentation of Distinguished Faculty Awards Join the U of M Alumni Association to celebrate our outstanding faculty at the 2012 Faculty Convocation on Friday, April 20, at 2 pm on the U of M Campus. The Alumni Association will present its 2012 Distinguished Advising, Research and Teaching Awards.
Arts & Sciences Alumni Chapter The Department of Anthropology is hosting a weekend-long Alumni Reunion to celebrate the 35th Anniversary of our Master of Arts program and the University
of Memphis Centennial, on April 20-22. The reunion will kick off Friday evening, with a complimentary wine and cheese reception
at Jack Robinson Gallery. Saturday will begin with a continental breakfast hosted
by the Arts & Sciences Alumni Chapter, followed by a full day conference highlighting
the program’s history and the accomplishments of alumni and faculty. Saturday evening
attend a Moroccan-themed gala at the Peabody Skyway. The reunion will conclude with

The Department of English alumni and faculty is celebrating the University’s Centennial with 100 Years :: 100 Books, a program to highlight the literary history of the Department. Featured books will
include those written by alumni and faculty throughout the Department’s long history.
The Department will host an open house for alumni and community members to view the
exhibit and to meet and students and current and retired faculty from all the Department’s

Young Alumni Committee Don your True Blue Mask and join Young Alumni and Frosh Camp Alumni at the Blue Moon Masquerade on Saturday, April 21, at 6 pm to celebrate the Centennial Anniversary of the University of Memphis. The
party starts with a sunset toast atop the Madison Hotel and continues until the Blue

Tiger Tour and Nashville Golf Tournament Join the Alumni Association and Tiger Sports Properties in Nashville, Jackson and
Memphis for the Spring 2012 Tiger Tour featuring appearances by Josh Pastner, U of M men's head basketball coach, Justin Fuente, U of M head football coach, Melissa McFerrin, U of M women's head basketball coach, and other coaches and athletic administration.
The Nashville Alumni Club will host a Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 24, at the Gaylord Springs Golf Course before the Tiger Tour Reception that evening.

On Wednesday, May 16, at noon in the Alumni Center, the Engineering Chapter will host a Professional Development Luncheon featuring Greg Maxted (MS '90), Executive Director of the Harahan Bridge Project.
He will give a presentation about the conversion of the Harahan Bridge in downtown

University College Alumni Chapter The University College Alumni Chapter’s bi-annual Awards Dinner and Silent Auction will be held on Thursday, May 10, at 6 pm in the Fogelman Executive Center. The Chapter’s Outstanding Alumni Award
and Distinguished Service Award will both be presented at this event, and auction
proceeds benefit the Chapter's book scholarship. As part of the Chapter’s celebration
