Enjoy lunch with the UMAR Book Club on Tuesday, July 22, at 11:30 am at The Grove Grill before discussing this month's literary work, Twelve Years A Slave by Solomon Northup. The book club meets on the fourth Tuesday of every other month.

Combine fellowship and fun at UMAR's Exercise & Eat on Thursday, July 24, at 10:00 am at White Station Church of Christ. Participants engage in one hour of strength, flexibility, balance and cardio exercise. Lunch will follow at Perkins Restaurant. The cost of lunch is on your own. The group meets the fourth Thursday of each month.

Please join UMAR for its inaugural "Early Bird" Dinner on Monday, August 4, at 5:00 pm at Amerigo Italian Restaurant located on Ridgeway Road. The dinner event will be hosted the first Monday of each month. The cost is on your own.

On Tuesday, August 5, UMAR’s Breakfast Bunch will meet at Perkins Restaurant at the corner of Park Ave. and S. White Station Rd at 9:00 am. If you’re looking for casual conversation over good food, please join us at this monthly affair!

Join UMAR for the Thursday Budget Lunch on Thursday, August 14, at 11:30 am at Trolley Stop Market. The group meets the second Thursday of every month. The cost of lunch is on your own.

Save the Date: UMAR Garden Club will meet on Tuesday, August 26, at 10:00 am at a location TBD to discuss hummingbird and butterfly gardens. Lunch will follow.

CAS Spring ReceptionLaw Alumni Chapter
On Saturday, August 2, the Law Alumni Chapter will hold its Pillars of Excellence Dinner at the University of Memphis Holiday Inn, sponsored by Black McLaren Jones Ryland & Griffee, P.C.  This year the Chapter will honor six Pillars of Excellence from within the Memphis law community including: Hon. Arthur T. Bennett, Hon. David R. Farmer (BBA ’63, JD ’66), Albert C. Harvey, Charles F. Newman, Max Shelton and Maurice Wexler. Jim Gilliland will be honored as Friend of the Law School. Tiger Career Cast
Alumni Association Members: Join fellow alumni for a Career Cast Webinar on Wednesday, August 6, at 7:00 pm. Greg Link, author of Wall Street Journal bestseller, Smart Trust: Creating Prosperity, Energy and Joy in a Low-Trust World, will present on "The Speed of Trust - THE Career Critical Skill." Vision Forum
The University of Memphis Alumni Association will host Vision Forum on Saturday, August 16, at the FedEx Institute of Technology on the U of M Campus. Guest speakers include Dr. David M. Rudd, University President; Dr. Karen Weddle-West, Interim Provost; Anita Vaugn, President of the National Alumni Association Board of Directors;  Tammy Hedges, Executive Director of the Alumni Association, and more. PMBA Alumni Club
Join the PMBA Alumni Club for its 2014 Annual Meeting on Tuesday, August 19, at 5:30 pm in the Fogelman Executive Center. Alumni and new students will meet with the leadership of the Fogelman College and Professional MBA Alumni Boards to discuss updated of the College and to learn about upcoming events. The University College Alumni Chapter’s bi-annual Awards Dinner and Silent Auction was held in June. The Chapter presented the Outstanding Alumna Award to Maxine Strawder (MALS '09). Brian Holb (BPS '13) was honored as Outstanding Young Alumni. William "Bill" Harbin (BPS '99) received the Outstanding Service Award.
