Alumni Association Spotlight: Allie Prescott (BA '69, JD '72)
Allie Prescott (BA ’69, JD ’72) is your new President of the University of Memphis
Alumni Association National Executive Board of Directors. Allie is a University of
Memphis Alumni Association Life Member. As a former advisor to the executive director
and former Vice President for Membership, he is serving his fourth year on the national
board. In 2002, Prescott was named Outstanding Alumnus from the College of Arts &
Sciences and Distinguished Alumnus from the University in 2003. A native Memphian,
he is the owner of a consulting company, Allie Prescott & Partners LLC, and is currently
a Senior Advisor for Waddell and Smith, Inc. Allie is also a former baseball player
for the U of M and is still active in the M Club, where he was enshrined into their
Hall of Fame in 1996. Prescott was president and CEO of the Memphis Redbirds AAA baseball
team from 1997 to 2001. He and his wife, Barbara (BSEd ’71, MEd ’73), have two children,
Allie and Allison (BA ’06). |
