This $500 scholarship is funded by Young Alumni to help deserving U of M graduates

extracurricular activities, and any other special considerations that should be weighed.
Also include any campus organization affiliations and time devoted to various community
or University service projects.
|
It is the long-term goal of the Committee to see this scholarship endowed so that
it can be permanently in place to help future graduate students of the U of M. Young
Alumni would like to encourage you to make a contribution, large or small, to the
Young Alumni Legacy Scholarship so that we can reach our goal of endowment as soon
as possible. To make a contribution online, please visit www.memphis.edu/development/give.php, click the "other" button and enter "Young Alumni Legacy Scholarship" when prompted.

Young Alumni Spotlight: Karimeh McDaniel (BA '02)
|
Karimeh McDaniel received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2002 from the University of Memphis.
As a student at the U of M, she was Student Government president, a Student Ambassador
Board member, Phi Mu Sorority vice president, orientation guide, Frosh Camp counselor,
and a member of the Mighty Sound of the South Color Guard. After graduation, Karimeh
remained involved at the University through the Alumni Association. She was a founding
member of the Young Alumni Committee and co-founder of the group's True Blue 5K. In
2013, she was selected to serve on the Association's National Executive Board of Directors.
Karimeh says, "I am proud to be a graduate of the University of Memphis and truly
grateful for all of the opportunities that I was able to take advantage of during
my time as a student. After graduation I wanted the opportunity to give back to the
University that had given me so much. The Young Alumni Committee provided me the opportunity
to not only give back but to help shape the future of the University and its Alumni
