Tammy Hedges graduated from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville with a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising (Journalism) and M.A. in Communication. Having worked for Residence Life and Campus Activities at the U of Arkansas, she decided that higher education was her true career path while attending law school. Hedges later came to the University of Memphis where she coordinated Student Activities, organized University functions and directed all events for the Office of the President. Named as Executive Director of the Alumni Association by the University President, Hedges’ program has increased Association membership to over 12,000 members since her appointment in 2003 and has been awarded various CASE distinctions including three CASE District III Grand Awards for Overall Alumni Relations Program and for Special Event Programming and a CASE National Award for Tigers Around Town. Hedges’ event experience ranges from University Presidential Inauguration Ceremonies, NCAA Final Four/National Championship activities, opening events for four University buildings and working with celebrities such as Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, George Strait and Maya Angelou. In 2009, Hedges was named by the University President as the Administrator of the Year.

Joe Biggers received his bachelors and masters degrees in Sport Management & Administration from East Carolina University. He is responsible for day-to-day office operations including staff supervision and human resources. He also manages the relationships with our affinity and benefit partners. Before moving to Memphis and joining our staff in 2008, he taught in the North Carolina Public School System and coached football and softball. While in school, Biggers was a North Carolina Teaching Fellow, a member of the Delta Chi International Fraternity, and an intern with the Atlantic Coast Conference and the ECU Pirate Club.

Holly Snyder is a two-time graduate of the University of Memphis Journalism Department. She joined the Alumni Association team in 2009 as a graduate assistant and has since served in a coordinator position and was named assistant director in 2013. Her responsibilities include managing all marketing and communication efforts to over 125,000 alumni and friends worldwide. She is the Association’s webmaster, social media manager and editor of the monthly e-newsletter, Memphis Matters. Snyder is a member of the Council of Alumni Association Marketing and Membership Professionals.

Terez Wilson received his Bachelor of Science in Education & Sport Management from the U of M, and is working towards receiving his masters degree. Wilson acts as programming manager by assisting coordinators with event standards and checklists. He also coordinates game day logistics and serves as the Homecoming Chair and special events coordinator, including the Enshrinement of 1912 and Vision Forum. Wilson joined the Association staff in March 2011 as a coordinator, and was named assistant director in 2013. During his undergraduate career, he was the Memphis Mascot, Pouncer, and the 2008 Mr. U of M. He also served as a Frosh Camp counselor and orientation guide. Prior to the Association, Terez worked for St. Jude Children's Research Center as an event coordinator. He is a member of the Luther C. McClellan Alumni Chapter, the Council of Alumni Association Marketing and Membership Professionals and the National Association for Black Sport Professionals.

Emma Boyd Elliott received her Bachelor of Arts in Law, Justice & Society from Lipscomb University in 2010. Elliott serves as a member of the Associated Women for Lipscomb and is currently working towards a Masters in Public Administration at the University of Memphis. She has been with the Alumni Association since April 2013.  Before her position with the Alumni Association, she worked in student affairs at Rhodes College, in admissions at Florida State University and completed an AmeriCorps term of service with Hands On Nashville.

Brandon Hoyer received a bachelors degree in international business from Northeastern University. During his time there, he studied in Germany, which led to his fluency in the language. Before moving to Memphis, he worked with the AmeriCorps program in New York. He joined the Association staff in December 2012.

Shannon Miller completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Memphis and received a Master of Arts from the University of Michigan in 2001. He is currently pursuing his MBA at the University of Memphis. Before joining the staff in February 2011, Miller was a corporate sales representative for Thomson Reuters.

Kaylee Heathcott Pierce received her Bachelor of Business Administration in 2009 from Texas A&M University. Prior to joining the Association staff in April 2013, she began her career in event planning at the Republican Governors Association in Washington, DC. She then took a position in campaign finance and donor relations at the National Republican Congressional Committee. Pierce is a member of the Junior League of Memphis and the Mid-South Texas A&M Club.

Jacki Rodriguez received a degree in public relations from the U of M. She began as the membership analyst for the Association in August 2011 and later became a coordinator. She is a member of several professional organizations including the Public Relations Society of America, the Women's Aspiring Leaders Program, the Kappa Tau Alpha Journalism Society, and Affiliated Student Advancement Programs. As an undergraduate, she interned for Isaac Hayes and the Donna Groff Agency, performed in Revolution Romantique with the U of M Theatre Department, was a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America, and was a founding member of the Hispanic Student Association.
