Book Scholarship

The application deadline for the 2014-2015 University College Alumni Chapter Book Scholarship has passed.

Congratulations to the University College Alumni Chapter's 2014 book scholarship recipients, Mazel Lofton and Gretchen Gintz, and the Citizenship Award winner Paige Fehland. The scholarships were presented at the College's award ceremony in April. View Photos

Holiday Party & Silent Auction
Tuesday, December 3
The University College Alumni Chapter hosted their annual Holiday Party and Silent Auction. Proceeds from the party and auction benefited the University College Alumni Chapter Scholarship Fund.

Spring Leadership Retreat
The University College Alumni Chapter partook in their Spring Retreat in Jackson, TN this past June.  The day began with a tour of Lambuth Campus, led by Dean Lattimore. Attendees were able to see test dummies used in the Nursing program, the theater, on-campus chapel and many more notable sights. Afterward, the Chapter headed to Sherri Stephens’ log cabin on Indian Lake, where the group enjoyed slow-cooked BBQ ribs, sweet tea and a soothing environment full of birds and cool lake air.  For those longing the experience, the Stephens’ offer a night’s stay at this lovely cabin annually at University College Alumni Chapter’s Holiday Party Silent Auction; they hope you will attend! Holiday Reception & Silent Auction
The Chapter hosted a reception featuring music by Hank Sable, and all proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Chapter's book scholarship. View Photos

Outstanding Alumni Awards
The University College Alumni Chapter’s bi-annual Awards Dinner and Silent Auction was held in May. The Chapter presented the Outstanding Alumni Award to the following recipients: Frank Turner McMeen (MALS '08), President of West Tennessee Healthcare Foundation; Megan Regina Mottley (MALS '03), Publisher of Divine Magazine; and Daniel Michael Dent (BPS '08), Senior Vice President of First Tennessee Bank. The Outstanding Service Award was presented to Sherri G. Stephens (BPS '07), Administrative Associate in the U of M Department of Theatre & Dance. Auction proceeds benefit the Chapter's book scholarship. As part of the Chapter’s celebration of the University’s Centennial, all previous recipients of these awards were welcomed back for special recognition. View Photos
