Trained as ceramicist at Black Mountain College, the famous North Carolina incubator
of interdisciplinary, collaborative and experimental art, David Weinrib’s career has
encompassed a variety of sculptural materials and forms, including ceramic architectural
installations. The print he contributed to Artists & Writers Protest resembles his
sculptural experiments in the 1960s with heat-formed colored plastic.
