Jason Miller heads the ArtLab Selections Committee, and is looking for work that utilizes
the full potential of dealing with the space allotted through this exhibition opportunity.
"I have seen numerous exhibitions in ArtLab at AMUM over the course of the last
decade, and I have exhibited my own work in the ArtLab space in a multimedia installation.
When I review your submission, not only will I be looking for something that I haven't
already seen or that simply surprises me, but moreover I will be searching for the
artwork that bares the artist's savage-most blood and vigor. I want to see the struggle
of thought, I want to see heart and mind in the proposed ArtLab artwork. Yes, I want
to see the evidence of imaginative chess play. Above all, I want to show the public
an artist who considers sharing his or her artwork with other human beings to, in
itself, be the uttermost form of communicative reward."

new, experimental, unreviewed, non-mainstream, and otherwise under-represented work
that demonstrates the potential to broaden boundaries for the understanding of expression
and ideas. Download the prospectus below, and please note that artists who exceed
the minimal requirements of the prospectus will fair better than artists with proposals
that are too vague.) Please note that travel and shipping expenses are not covered
by the museum and are the responsibility of the exhibiting ArtLab artist. Therefore,
while this call is open to all artists, nevertheless, it is necessary for the artist
to deliver and install his/ her own work or have an appointed installer or representative
who can install your work to your specifications. The Museum Media Specialist will
assist in the installation, but the artist should be involved physically as well as
through blueprint. In short, it is advantageous to local artists to apply, and yet
