Harpist and Hands The harpist is a study for Crone's painting, "Long, Long Ago," which was exhibited in the 1900 Münchener Jahres-Austellung in the Glass Palace. Family stories relate that Sadie had to learn how to play the harp so that her hands would be accurately represented. The collection includes several hand studies probably done around the turn of the century. The ones shown here may have been done for Crone's painted self- portrait of 1901.
