Our graduates successfully pursue careers in government and non-profit sectors in healthcare, community, and urban development fields. Many students pursue additional training in professional programs such as public health, health administration, or public administration. Some enroll in anthropology doctoral programs.

Anthropology Graduate Student Handbook

This handbook is a guide for graduate students in the Master's degree program in the Department of Anthropology at The University of Memphis. It is intended to introduce students to the graduate program course requirements for the Master of Arts degree, University and Department policies, procedural deadlines, and professional papers.This handbook provides key information, but it is not an adequate substitute for the faculty advisor; all graduate students should work closely with their faculty advisors and degree committees to ensure that their course of study is of the highest possible quality.
