Dr. Donalyn Heise is Associate Professor of Art Education at the University of Memphis. Her research focuses on art teacher preparation, resilience theory, and community art collaborations. Her work with positive youth development through art investigates the transformative power of art and utilizes collaborations in a variety of contexts, including out of school and urban settings. She has received numerous grants and awards, and has conducted over 100 workshops and presentations at the state, regional and national levels.
