Scholarships are generally awarded during the spring semester.

This scholarship and fellowship fund was created to honor the parents of Mr. J. Michael Robinson and to assist the University of Memphis in the recruitment and retention of outstanding scholars. The Robinson fund provides for undergraduate scholarships (4-year maximum) and/or graduate fellowships (3-year maximum) for fully-qualified students enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate programs in Department of Architecture, Art, Music, or Theatre & Dance.  Scholarships will be awarded based on academic and creative achievement.  Financial need may be considered. All students who meet the academic qualifications are invited to apply.  Applications for the 2013-14 academic year, should be turned into the dean's office, 232 CFA Building, by January 31, 2013.

The academic achievement award goes to the undergraduate student with the highest GPA for the year within CCFA. The recipient receives a $250 check and a plaque during the University's Annual Honors Assembly in April. The Graduation Analyst determines and verifies the recipient.

For more information, contact CCFA at (901) 678-2350.

During the spring semester, each department chair and director nominate an undergraduate student for this award. The nominees present their work at the Dean's Administrative Council meeting in March.

Selected by a vote from the council meeting members, the Honoree receives a $250 check and a plaque. Each runner-up receives a $100 check and a plaque. Awards are presented at the University's Annual Honors Assembly in April.

For more information, contact CCFA at (901)678-2350.

Annual performance awards of $500 are given to CCFA graduate students for creative achievement in the areas of music, film, theatre and dance. The College accepts nominations from the Department of Communication, the Scheidt School of Music and the Department of Theatre & Dance.

Candidates are reviewed by the College Council for Research and Graduate Studies, which makes its recommendation to the Graduate School. The award recipients are notified at the end of March.

For the Art Purchase Award, the Univerity's Graduate School will purchase an artwork chosen by the guest juror of AMUM's Annual Juried Student Exhibition.
