Research Interests:
Research has focused on immunochemistry, particularly the immunology of channel catfish and insect immunology. Innate immunity of insects and fish, the complement system and immune response of catfish, and molecular mechanisms of bacterial pathogenesis are being investigated. Antimicrobial peptides and proteins from insects and fish are being characterized.
