Tomato has a recent domestication history as compared to other useful plants like potato, rice, beans etc. It was only during 1544; tomato for the first time was described in Italian language commentary by Matthioli. By the use of AFLP technique, I am interested in studying the place of origin of tomato domestication, and its dispersal route in the world.
