Burton Kirk
Burton Kirk
Masters student in Dr. Reza Pezeshki's lab and working with Dr. Takuya Nakazato.
Burton's research is focused on examining the physiological responses of certain tomato species to various water availabilities. These species can be found growing naturally in South America; specifically Chili, Argentina and Peru. The presence of the Andes Mountains coupled with the close proximity to the South Pacific Ocean creates a multitude of unique climate zones which has helped push these tomato species into their respective clines.
