Ms. Bridget Sutton comes to the University of Memphis from Western Kentucky University
where she worked in a microbiology research laboratory for four years. Having completed
her masters at WKU in 2008 in molecular biology and African conservation, she is now
employed as the microbiology lab coordinator, and also lectures for BIOL1230 and BIOL3500.
Having traveled abroad to South Africa and Kenya, Ms. Sutton is passionate about conservation
efforts throughout the continent of Africa. She is active in several international
programs aimed at education and resource management for local communities in Africa.
Ms. Sutton enjoys spending time on the river with her dog, Lucy, and is currently
pursuing her Ph.D with Dr. Carlos L. Estrano.
