About Naveen Kumar
Naveen Kumar received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle. He was a Boeing/GTTL scholarship winner for excellent scholarly achievement. His research interests are in business analytics with a focus on developing statistical and data mining methods for contemporary big data applications in information systems and healthcare. He has made significant contributions in industry by solving critical business problems in IT, Finance, Manufacturing, and Healthcare. His recent research interest includes development of analytical methods that empower decision-makers to accomplish their information goals through real-time context based assistance across multiple devices. One of his articles was selected for the best paper award at the 16th annual Society for Health Systems conference. He is an active member of the Association for Information Systems (AIS).
During his 5-year academic career as an adjunct faculty, Dr. Kumar taught undergraduate and graduate courses in business analytics and statistics. He offers students a variety of real-world experiences which he shares in the classroom through storytelling and practical application exercises. Dr. Kumar finds it personally gratifying to hear from students after they have graduated. He is honored they remember him for the help they need in advanced data analysis and empirical modeling.
