About Yao Shi
Shi, Yao is a fourth year Ph.D. student in the Department of Management Information Systems at the University of Memphis. His current research focuses on unit cost of testing by using NVivo. Other research interests include: Strategic of MIS, Business Analytics and Electronic Commerce, etc. Shi, Yao received his Bachelor's degree in Accounting from The China University of Geosciences in 2003 and his M.B.A. from The Missouri State University in 2011.
Before joining the University of Memphis, Shi, Yao was a financial accounts department manager of an engineering consulting company in Beijing, China. He was employed with this company for over 7 years. During this period, he participated in and played key roles in several significant state-level projects in China such as lead member for preparing the financial report of resettlement project of The Three Gorges Dam, team leader of auditing group in the State Council of Environmental Remediation Office for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and lead member for preparing the financial report of projects in China Netcom Group (now China Unicom). In 2004, Shi, Yao was a head assistant auditor in Wu-mart Group Company, which currently is the largest retailer enterprise in the north region of China. He independently drew out the framework of the whole budget system, facilitating the Wu-mart ERP upgrade. In 2005, he won the highest honor "Wumart Group Headquarters' Excellent Staff".
Shi, Yao has a lot of hobbies, such as playing soccer, jogging, traveling and taking pictures.
