Green Tip

Wash your full loads in cold water.

By washing your clothes in cold water instead of warm, a household will save on energy bills. 85 to 90 percent of energy used is for heating the water. By only washing full loads you cut down on total loads a week, saving water and money.

University of Memphis Lambuth Recycling

U of M Recycle Crew

The U of M Sustainability Program was busy in the Spring 2013 getting Lambuth set up with their own recycling program after being approach by some very eager and passionate Lambuth students. Within one month our recycle team took several trips to Lambuth and set up a full scale recycle program. The Lambuth sustainability leaders were quick to initiate the new recycle program with a Recycle Kick-Off. We continue to work with the Lambuth campus in all their recycling needs as they continue to grow and be an example for the Jackson community.
