Bridget VanLandeghem joined the University of Memphis staff in August of 2002 to serve
as Athletic Academic Counselor for various teams. She is the counselor for men’s baseball,
men's golf, women’s soccer, men’s and women’s tennis, women’s volleyball, and co-ed
rifle. Prior to joining the University of Memphis staff, Bridget was employed at St.
Bonaventure University from 1999 through 2002 where she served as an Athletic Academic
Coordinator and began her career in athletic academic services.
In addition to serving as academic counselor for various teams, Bridget is a member
of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), coordinator
and instructor for ACAD 1100: Academic Strategies, Orientation chair, Academic Awards
chair, and Campus Communication Liaison.
Originally from Paris, Illinois, Bridget is a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan, and an avid
follower of the 2010 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks. She also enjoys devouring
Memphis BBQ, visiting Graceland, and singing, especially "Take Me Out To The Ballgame"
at FedExPark.
