Dr. Jennifer Rowe joined the University of Memphis staff in July of 2011 as a part-time
Learning Specialist for the Center for Athletic Academic Services. In July 2013, she
was hired as the full time Learning Specialist for CAAS. Prior to joining the University
of Memphis staff, Jennifer was employed in the counseling/mental health profession
working with juvenile offenders for the states of Louisiana and Virginia. She also
served as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University and psychology instructor
for the University of Southern Mississippi.
In addition to serving as the Learning Specialist for CAAS, Jennifer is a member of
the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A), mentor training
coordinator, co-instructor for ACAD 1100: Academic Strategies, liaison for Disability
Resources for Students, and CAAS ALEKS program administrator.
Jennifer is originally from Virginia where she played softball for Radford University.
While not in the office, Jennifer enjoys woodworking, fishing, cooking, and working
with her husband on their garden and farm with their numerous animals including goats,
sheep, chickens, ducks, dogs and cats.
