Jensen joined the University of Memphis as the Learning Specialist with the Center for Athletic Academic Success in May 2014. As the Learning Specialist, Jensen is responsible for screening all student-athletes for learning concerns, serving as the liaison with Disability Resource Services, training and supervising all academic mentors, and working one-on-on with a case load of student-athletes with learning concerns. In addition, she serves as the CAAS ALEKS program administrator.

Originally from Plant City, Florida, she attended the University of Florida where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Education. While at Florida, she worked for the University Athletic Association as a Student Assistant to the Assistant Director of Student Services. After graduating in August 2012, she attended The University of Texas at Austin where she earned her Master's of Education in Special Education with a specialization in learning disabilities and behavior disorders, and worked as an Academic Mentor for student-athletes. Most recently, Jensen worked for the University of Missouri’s Total Person Program as an academic intern with the Enhanced Learning Program. Jensen is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics, and is a 2012 graduate of the N4A Professional Development Institute- Learning Specialist Track.


Academic Highlight

Mitch Huelsing-MFB was named a member of the 2013 NFF Hampshire Honor Society, which is comprised of college football players from all divisions who maintained a cumulative 3.2 GPA or better throughout their college career.
