Jessie Mills joined the University of Memphis staff in August of 2005 to serve as
a graduate assistant in the Center for Athletic Academic Services. In June 2006, she
was hired as the Athletic Academic Counselor for the men’s basketball, women's softball,
and women's golf teams. Prior to joining the University of Memphis staff, Jessie served
as an intern in Athletic Academic Services at Austin Peay State University.
In addition to serving as academic counselor, Jessie is a member of the National Association
of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) and the coordinator of CAAS's Summer Academic
Program (CAT) and ACAD 1100 course.
While at Austin Peay, Jessie was a member of the women’s tennis and cross country
teams. She is originally from Michigan, and enjoys running, reading, playing tennis,
watching sports, and spending time with her family and friends. She is recently married
to Kimya Massey and they reside in Memphis with their two dogs, Rookie and Nala.
