Katie Woodruff

Katie Woodruff joined the University of Memphis staff in January 2017 as the PAWS Coordinator and Athletic Academic Counselor for Men’s Soccer. Prior to Memphis, Katie was Associate Athletic Director/Senior Woman Administrator at Union University. In that role she successfully led Union University through the transition from NAIA to NCAA Division II. Katie also developed a Life Skills program for all freshman student-athletes, academic accountability for at-risk student-athletes and was advisor to the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). In her last year, SAAC raised enough money to grant a wish for a child through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Prior to being an administrator, Katie was the Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach for 9 years winning back to back National Championships in 2005 & 2006 and 2009 & 2010.

Katie is passionate about student-athlete development and community service. Helping student-athletes recognize their talents and abilities while translating that in to a career to help successfully launch them in to life after college. While at John Brown University, Katie was a member of the women’s basketball team. She is originally from Fayetteville, AR and enjoys traveling, playing guitar, photography, watching almost any sporting event, and spending time with family and friends. Most days are spent chasing and having adventures with her son, Cooper Nehemiah (Nov. 2013).
