Valorie Lott joined the University of Memphis staff in June of 2006 to serve as an Athletic Academic Counselor for football. She is currently in her fourth year on staff. Prior to joining the University of Memphis staff, Valorie was employed by Student-Athletes Services at Baylor University from 1998 through 2006. She served in various capacities including Academic Advisor for football, Study Hall Supervisor, Graduate Assistant, and Tutor.

In addition to serving as the football team’s academic counselor, she is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) and serves as an instructor for ACAD 1100: Introduction to the University.

Valorie is originally from Terrell, Texas. She enjoys watching sports, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Academic Highlight

56 (School Record) student-athletes received the Conference USA Academic Medal. This award is given for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or above through the fall semester in a conference sponsored sport.
