LEWIS COONS - During my Professional Development Assignment, I completed about half of an advanced reference text on the Acari.  The book is now about 50% complete.  I wrote a grant entitled “Fate of Host Immunoglobulin G (IgG) in Feeding Ticks” that was funded by the University.  I wrote four separate articles for a forthcoming book entitled “Encyclopedia of Entomology.”  They are “Mites”, “Piroplasmosis: Babesia and Theileria”, “Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever”, and “Ticks”.
