The W. Russell Smith Teaching Award honors a faculty member within the College of
Arts and Sciences for teaching excellence. All full-time faculty members with at least
four years of service in the College of Arts and Sciences are eligible. The award
is selected by vote of the graduating seniors and consists of a certificate and cash
payment.

Chucalissa C.H. Nash Museum, The University of Memphis
The C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa protects and interprets the Chucalissa archaeological
site. The museum provides high quality educational experiences on
past and present Native American cultures of the Mid-South,
and pursues new knowledge of these cultures through research
as part of the University's explicitly multicultural and
multiethnic educational orientation. more
