Social Science Graduate Methods Courses
College of Arts and Sciences
Resource Directory:
From this “faculty resources” link on the College of Arts and Sciences website, you
can access, first, a listing of graduate methods courses mainly from the social sciences
that are currently being offered in the College of Arts and Sciences and, second,
syllabi for 23 of those courses.
This resource directory was developed in spring 2007 by representatives from Social
Science departments in the College of Arts and Sciences. Their intent was to (1)
familiarize themselves with graduate-level methods courses being offered in the various
social science programs in the College of Arts and Sciences; (2) consider ways in
which students within the College of Arts and Sciences and other colleges (working
with their advisors) can make better use of the range of available methods courses—especially
advanced or specialized courses—in their graduate study; and (3) develop a comprehensive
online course listing of graduate level methods courses along with up-to-date syllabi
in the various social science departments in the College.
