Moira Logan has been with the University of Memphis since 1985 and has served as the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies since 2000. She began her career at the UofM as the first head of Dance Studies in the Department of Theatre & Communication Arts, now the Department of Theatre & Dance.

As a faculty member, Logan launched the University's first dance degree program and choreographed, performed, and taught both nationally and internationally. She currently teaches Beginning through Advanced Dance Composition. During her time at the University, she has secured a variety of internal and external grants, including a recent grant from SouthArts as an inaugural member of the Dance Touring Initiative (DTI).

Logan received her Bachelor of Arts from Vassar College and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a recipient of the Tennessee Association of Dance's Dance Educator of the Year Award and the Tennessee Arts Commission Individual Artist's Fellowship.
