College Media Coordinator, Communication and Fine Arts
About Kimberly Rogers
As College Media coordinator, I am responsible for marketing, community relations and outreach and public relations. In addition, I am editor of Voices, CCFA's magazine.
A two-time graduate of the University of Memphis, I spent a lot of time on campus . As a student I was also fortunate enough to live in Richardson Towers, one of the best decisions I made during college. I understand the importance of being connected to the University not only as a student but as a resident. It helped me in pursuing my Journalism degree, because I was able to better get to know the campus which I covered as a student reporter with The Daily Helmsman. In addition to working my way up to editor-in-chief, I gained other valuable experience as an intern at The Commercial Appeal, where I covered stories throughout the city.
After graduating with my bachelor's degree, I worked at The Teen Appeal during it's inaugural year. While there, I helped edit and design the newspaper, as well as recruited in local, inner-city high schools. It was a position that afforded me the opportunity to connect with college-bound students.
I worked at The Teen Appeal until I received a publications internship at Baptist
Memorial Health Care, which soon turned into a full-time position as editor of The
Baptist Leader, a weekly newsletter with a circulation of 14,000. This led to a web
marketing position at
Methodist Healthcare, where I managed the system's intranet and external career center.
