Dean's Academic Achievement Award for Students
This award goes to the undergraduate student with the highest grade point average
for the year within the College of Communication and Fine Arts. The recipient receives
a $250 check and a plaque. This award is presented at the Annual University’s Honors
Assembly in April. There is no application deadline for this award; the recipient
is determined and verified by the CCFA Graduation Analyst.

Dean's Creative Achievement Award for Students
During the spring semester, each department chair and director nominates an undergraduate
student for this award. The nominees present their work at the Dean’s Administrative
Council meeting in March. The recipient is selected by a vote from the meeting members.
The Honoree receives a $250 check and a plaque. Each runner-up receives a $100 check
and a plaque. Awards are presented at the Annual University’s Honors Assembly in April.

Graduate School Performance and Art Purchase Awards
Annual performance awards of $500 are given to graduate students from the College
of Communication and Fine Arts for creative achievement in the areas of music, film,
and theatre and dance. The College accepts nominations from the Department of Communication,
the Scheidt School of Music and the Department of Theatre & Dance. These candidates
are reviewed by the College Council for Research and Graduate Studies, which makes
its recommendation to the Graduate School. The award recipients are notified at the
end of March.
For the Art Purchase Award, the Univerity's Graduate School will purchase an artwork
chosen by the guest juror of AMUM's Annual Juried Student Exhibition.
