At The College of Communication and Fine Arts we are proud of our faculty whose extraordinary
impact on the academic and cultural life of the University, the greater Memphis community,
and the Mid-South is unmistakable.
To provide our students with a solid foundation and a broad-based educational experience,
we rely on both full-time and part-time faculty as well as expert professionals who
work with our students in mentorship programs and guest lectures.
All faculty members hold the appropriate degree for their area of instruction and
often bring many years of professional practice into the classrooms. Faculty interests
and research areas are extensive and range from directing plays, to producing documentaries,
from holding solo exhibitions, and conducting concerts to art and architectural history,
to research in urban design, new technologies in communication, health communication
and user centered design.
We can proudly say that our faculty never settles for the obvious, but instead strives
to advance professionally and artistically, and in turn is justly rewarded with national
and international recognition.
