Established to honor the parents of alumnus J. Michael Robinson, the Elizabeth and
Harold Robinson Scholars and Fellows helps in the recruitment and retention of outstanding
students.
Based on availability, funding for the award is about $3,000 per year. It is available
to full-time undergraduate and graduate students, majoring in programs within CFA. Incoming
freshmen may also apply.
Awards are based on academic and creative achievement. Financial need may also be
considered.

Eligibility Criteria
Incoming Freshmen To be eligible for the scholarship, incoming freshmen must
- first be admitted to the University of Memphis,
- major in one of CCFA's programs,
- complete any special admission requirements of the programs of the College of Communication
and Fine Arts, and
- have a minimum ACT score of 24.
The award is renewed yearly, if the recipient:
- is enrolled full-time in a CCFA program and
- maintains a minimum GPA of 3.0.
If in good standing, recipients may retain the award for (4) years or until completion
of their degree, whichever comes first.
Undergraduate Students Current CCFA undergraduate students who wish to be considered must:
- have a GPA of 3.3 or above
- be enrolled full-time in a CCFA program, and
- maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0.
If in good standing, recipients may retain the award for (4) years or until completion
of their degree, whichever comes first.
Graduate Students Graduate students who wish to be considered must:
- major in one of CCFA's programs,
- be admitted to graduate school before applying,
- be enrolled full-time in a CCFA program and
- maintain a minimum GPA of 3.25.
If in good standing, recipients may retain the award for (3) years or until completion
of their degree, whichever comes first.

Selection Process
Applications for the 2013-14 academic year, should be turned into the dean's office,
232 CFA Building, by January 31, 2013.
The selection of award recipients is coordinated through the University's Scholarship
Office and the Robinson Fund Committee within CCFA. The selection of fellowship recipients
is coordinated through CCFA.
If you are interested in applying, print out an application or get a copy from the dean's office, 232 CFA Building. When the
application is complete, return it and the following to the dean's office:
- a letter stating your qualifications and field of interest.
- supporting letters from high school teachers, university professors and others familiar
with their work.
- a copy of their most recent academic transcript.
If you wish financial need to be considered, they should include information showing
that they have qualified for one of the Student Financial Assistance programs administered
by the U.S. Department of Education.
