Outside reviewers examine candidates dossiers and prepare evaluation letters. |

Outside reviewers return evaluation letters to chairs and directors. |

Deans submit listing of all faculty applying for tenure and/or promotion to the Provost. |

Unit heads and committees submit recommendations to College/School Committee |

College/School Committees submit recommendations to Dean. |

Required documents from the candidates' dossiers and recommendations of unite heads and committees, College Committees, and Deans is submitted to the Provost. |
| Jan/25/2010 |
Candidates will be notified of the Provost's recommendation. Provost's recommendation will be forwarded to the President. |
| Feb/16/2010 |
Candidates who receive a negative recommendation from the Provost must contact the chair of the Appeals Committee if they intend to appeal the recommendation. |
| April/1/2010 |
Recommendations by the Appeals Committee are forwarded to the President for review. Candidates will be notified of the President's recommendation.
The Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR) will be notified of the President's recommendations.
TBR will review and vote on the University's recommendations during its June meeting. The University will be notified by TBR's decision around mid- July.
Once the University received TBR's decision, the President will notify the candidates. |
