At the College of Communication and Fine Arts we are proud of our students. Here,
in addition to many students from Memphis and most of the Nation's states, you will
find students from Great Britain who aspire to be critically acclaimed filmmakers,
students from Slovakia who immerse themselves in research about urban design to become
leading architects, and students from China who are "playing" their way onto the world
stage.
Our dedicated faculty believes in your dreams. Your professors and advisors are generous
with support and encouragement that will help you in achieving your goals. Opportunities
for community engagement, internships, professional collaborations and study abroad
possibilities are numerous.
Our students engage in a multitude of academic and artistic programs and have been
selected to the Yale Norfolk Summer Art Program at Yale University, have won the Young
Artist award in the International Jazz Arranging Competition, participated in the
Washington Center Internship program and the Meredith-Cronkite Minority Fellowship
for broadcast journalism, and have traveled abroad to countries like Uganda and Brazil
as part of a international research training.
