Church Health Center of Memphis, Inc. Hope and Healing Center 1115 Union, Memphis, TN 38104. Contact: Daniel Cole at 259-4673, ext. 1677 for more information about the “Commit to Quit” Smoking Cessation Class. Classes meet once a week for 6 weeks on Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. Registration is required. The class is free for Hope & Healing members and Church Health Center patients, and is $60 for others.

Crittenden Memorial Hospital Impact Center Offers free classes for anyone at the Crittenden Memorial Hospital. Contact Heather Lancaster at 870-735-5527 for more information., 200 Tyler in West Memphis. Classes meet once a week for five weeks.

Dr. Frank Masur, Psychologist Offers private counseling on Smoking Cessation. Individual sessions are $175 for first session, then $150 per session. Call 761-2424.

University of Tennessee Health Science Center Offers a smoking cessation study called STAR. STAR is for healthy adults ages 18-45 who smoke 5 or more cigarettes each day. For more information call 448-8400.

University of Memphis Center for Community Health LEAP Program LEAP stands for Lifestyle EnhAncement Program. The program helps smokers quit and develop healthier lifestyles. LEAP is for smokers between 18-65 years of age. Participants of the program get an effective stop-smoking program, 6 weeks of free nicotine patches, and either a physical activity or wellness program. Call 678-1710 for more information.
